Meredith Comtois

Meredith received an Associates of Science from the University of Vermont and a certificate in Dental Hygiene in 2001. In 2009 she went back to school and received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Vermont State University in 2011. Meredith and her family moved from Vermont to Angel Fire in 2013, where she served the Enchanted Circle area and was proud to be the only private dental office that accepted Medicaid. She was a dental hygienist and passionate educator for 25 years.

Meredith’s kids graduated from Taos High. Once Meredith was an empty nester, she decided it was time to go on her own personal adventure. This included retiring from Dental Hygiene, where she would miss serving her long-time patients and community, but was excited to start working with mothers, babies and families. Becoming a home visitor felt like a great way to serve her community, continue building long term relationships, and use her life experience to support others on their journey of cultivating family.

She has worked at First Steps since September of 2025. Her favorite part of the job is the special relationships she makes and is so grateful for the families welcoming spirit. She enjoys being with her family and dogs, mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and crocheting.
