Dr. Aaron Black is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma. He will see patients through Holy Cross Orthopedics, bringing extensive experience in knee and shoulder care, cartilage restoration, fracture treatment, and athletic injury management. After completing his sports medicine fellowship in Taos, New Mexico, Dr. Black served as the orthopedic consultant for Taos Ski Valley Ski Patrol and has been a U.S. Ski Team physician since 2017. A Colorado mountain athlete himself, Dr. Black is passionate about helping patients of all activity levels return to the sports and lifestyles they love.
Dr. Black provides orthopedic services at Holy Cross Medical Center through an independent medical practice under contract.
