Jane Doe
Jane Doe is a friendly local nurse who attended medical school in Oklahoma. She is honored to be a Nurse at Holy Cross Pediatrics & Primary care. Jane fell in love with Taos during a family skiing trip when she was a teenager. Taos stuck with her on that trip and she always wanted to return after that first visit. She really enjoys the diverse cultural heritage and appreciates Taos’ unique and alternative way of life. Jane is an avid mountain biker and spends her weekends exploring little-known trails in the region. She is a lover of the outdoors and spends as much time outside as possible. She was drawn to Taos because of its strong sense of community and easy access to everything you could dream of outside!
Jane is married to her high school sweetheart, John. Together they have a daughter and a son who are grown and out of the house. She has two cats that she fostered from Stray Hearts and couldn’t imagine her life without them. She often volunteers at Stray Hearts Animal Shelter and hopes you will too!
Once a year Jane takes a team of like-minded nurses to Nigeria and provides free medical care to small rural communities. She feels this is her greatest accomplishment and regularly receives thank you letters from families she has cared for.
Jane believes that a strong family starts with a strong maternal figure. Her interest in women’s health began with her mother who was a practicing physician. The stories her mother told and the impact she had on her community motivated Jane to follow in the same footsteps. Jane loves keeping families healthy!
Although she was born in Oklahoma City, OK Jane grew up in Austin, Texas. She completed her undergrad degree from Oklahoma National College and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Maine’s Woman’s University. Jane completed her residency at UNM hospital in Albuquerque and spent 10 years as a traveling nurse before starting her job in Taos.
