General Radiologist (Part-Time)
Position Overview
Holy Cross Hospital is seeking a part-time General Radiologist to provide on-site radiology services at its Critical Access Hospital in Taos, New Mexico. The role includes general diagnostic radiology with an emphasis on light non-vascular interventional procedures such as biopsies, MSK injections, and drainages. This opportunity is offered in collaboration with Holy Cross Hospital. Interested candidates will need to be willing to contract through Coaxion Radiology and would be assigned to Holy Cross Hospital.
Schedule and Coverage
- Approximately 2 weeks per month on site
- Flexible scheduling shared with two other part-time Radiologists
- Standard work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No nights, weekends, or holidays
- One Radiologist on site at a time, with continuous external backup and subspecialty reading support available throughout the day
Clinical Responsibilities
- General diagnostic radiology services
- Light non-vascular interventional (biopsies, MSK injections, drainages)
- Preferred additional skills include: Neuro MRI, Body MRI, including MSK MRI
Practice Environment
- Holy Cross Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital with a great medical staff and highly trained technologists
- Modern imaging equipment, including a new 128-slice Philips Incisive CT Scanner
- Reliable outside backup and subspecialty readers available throughout the day
Employment Structure and Compensation
- Independent contractor position with Coaxion Radiology
- Competitive compensation
- Malpractice coverage provided
Ideal Candidate
- Mid-career Radiologist comfortable working half time
- Able to function independently as a solo on-site Radiologist
- Comfortable practicing in a small, rural, well-supported hospital environment
