After graduating from Penasco High School, Angela moved to Albuquerque to attend pharmacy school. She completed her PharmD at UNM and then moved on to New York to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine. Before moving back to Taos, she was working for Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. She moved back to Taos to raise her family and discovered the need for her services in Diabetes Management. After being mentored by Dr. Neal Friedman for over 2 years she passed her board exam and became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She does medication therapy management, insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring interpretation. She enjoys the challenge of wading through the insurance maze and tailoring medication regimens.
