Martine Gustave, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Urology
Martine Gustave was born and raised in Haiti, in a family devoted to careers in health care. Her late father was a physician specializing in internal medicine, and her siblings have likewise built careers in medicine: her older brother and mentor, Dr. Angelo Gousse, is a prominent urologist practicing in Florida, and her sister is a registered respiratory therapist and the chief executive officer of a health care agency in Massachusetts.
Ms. Gustave relocated to Florida following her graduation from high school in Haiti and has since made the state her second home. Motivated by a longstanding commitment to caring for others, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began her career as a registered nurse caring for post-kidney, liver, and multivisceral transplant patients. She subsequently earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Thomas University in Florida, which supported her advancement to unit nurse manager. While she valued the responsibilities of that leadership position, her commitment to direct patient care led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago, with a concentration in the Family Nurse Practitioner track. Shortly after completing her degree, she joined her brother’s high-volume urology practice in Florida.
A board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in urology, Ms. Gustave provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients presenting with a broad range of urologic conditions, including kidney stones, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and urologic cancers. She is pleased to bring her expertise to patients in Taos and the surrounding communities.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Gustave enjoys time with her adult daughter and extended family in Florida, as well as reading, travel, and physical activities that support overall wellness.
