Lin Stein

Bilingual Home Visitor

Born and raised in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lin is a 4th generation Argentinean with Italian, Basque and Jewish ancestry. Lin first left home for the US to study Fine Arts at The Cooper Union in NYC, which led to re-discovering a lineage of estrangement and belonging outside of a homeland, as well as a path in repair and healing. Lin went on to pursue a Masters in Psychology from the Expressive Arts Therapies program at CIIS, in San Francisco. Lin then found themselves at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, studying interfaith spirituality as a resident & caretaker at The Lama Foundation, learning to steward the land, to live in community and coordinate an educational center dedicating to the awakening of consciousness. Centering the Earth and our responsibility to children (inner-children included) was a big theme that led Lin to participate in Guardians of Birth immersion and later on Birth and Postpartum Doula trainings with CAPPA. Learning about the prenatal period and supporting at a birth was transformational. Lin loves exploring the transitional nature of identity by engaging in play and the liminal spaces of theater and dreaming.
